Cancellation Policy for Bumps and Burns Ltd - First Aid Training

1. Cancellation by Participants:

  • More than 14 days before the course: Participants may cancel their registration for a full refund or transfer to a future course without any penalty.
  • 7 to 14 days before the course: Participants may cancel their registration and receive a 50% refund. Alternatively, they may transfer their registration to a future course at no additional cost.
  • Less than 7 days before the course: Cancellations made within 7 days of the c0ourse are non-refundable due to registration purchases and lack of      opportunity to fill vacant spaces.

2. No-Show Policy:

  • Participants who do not attend the course without prior notice will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.

3. Cancellation by the Training Company:

  • In the unlikely event that the training company must cancel a course, participants will be notified at least 48 hours in advance. Participants will have the option to receive a full refund or transfer their registration to a future course.

4. Course Rescheduling:

  • If a participant needs to reschedule their training, they must do so at least 7 days prior to the original course date. A rescheduling fee of 30% of the      original fee may apply.

5. Special Circumstances:

  • In cases of medical emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible. We will evaluate each situation on a case-by-case basis and may offer flexible solutions.

1. Reporting Mechanism:
Anyone who identifies or becomes aware of suspected or actual cases of malpractice or maladministration must immediately notify QA by completing a Malpractice and Maladministration Report Form and emailing this and any supporting evidence to: malpractice@qualsafeawards.org


2. Handling Whistleblowing Reports:
- Ensure that all reports received are taken seriously, and every effort is made to address them promptly and effectively.
- Designate a specific department or individual responsible for managing whistleblowing reports.
- Clearly define the responsibilities and authority of the designated person to investigate and resolve reported incidents.
- Implement a fair and impartial investigation process that protects the rights of both the reporter and the accused.
 

3. Protection of Whistleblowers:
- Highlight the organisation's commitment to protecting whistleblowers from retaliation or victimization.
- Clearly state that whistleblowers will be safeguarded against any adverse actions as a result of their report, to encourage a safe and fear-free reporting environment.
- Provide guidance on how to deal with potential retaliation and the steps that will be taken to address such situations.
 

4. Training and Awareness:
- Promote awareness of this policy through various means, such as staff meetings, intranet postings, and inclusion in employee handbooks.
 

5. Review and Updates:
- This policy will be periodically reviewed, evaluated, and updated as required to align with changes in regulations or best practices.
