Basic Life Support - (BLS course 1/2 day)

Intended audience

This BLS certificate has been designed for anyone who wishes to learn basic life support skills for adults, children and infants. It is also ideal for those who are qualified in providing first aid and are looking to refresh or develop their existing first aid knowledge. 

This BLS course satisfies requirements for clinicians and their annual requirements.

What is covered in this BLS course

This 1/2 day course ensures learners are able to understand, and where relevant, apply the following skills when helping an adult and child in the workplace. 

Learners will develop the skills and confidence to help someone who is:

• unresponsive and not breathing, including how to use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
• unresponsive and breathing
• choking

Assessment methods 

• 5 x Practical assessments

Certification

Successful learners will receive a personalised Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support for Adults and Children (RQF) e-Certificate immediately after their results have been submitted.

This certification is valid for one year. To renew BLS you will need to complete the course again.
